What does it mean to you ?

While I still have it, one of the best ways I can exercise my freedom, is to absorb truth, while truth is still available to be absorbed.

Freedom is something we all have, but not everyone knows they have it.

We live in a society founded on freedom, but it is never more important to realize that our freedom was based on belief in God and a moral code that goes along with that belief. As I recently heard one lady say, "Our nation was founded on a covenant with God, and we must never forget that."

When you look at the chaos around you it doesn't take long to understand that chaos is developed and cultivated on a systematic network of lies. Many of my conservative (or Republican if you will) acquaintances spend all their time and energy blaming one group or another. It's the democrats fault, it's the liberals fault, it's O'bama or Hilary, or Pelosi, you get the picture.

But the fact I want you to consider as we move into the days ahead is this, it is our fault. Each one of us holds a certain degree of responsibility for the shape of our nation, and I point the finger only at myself. Although I have followed politics nearly my whole life, I realize at this point that for the majority of those years I was listening to and trusting the wrong voices. I am not just referring to what we now call the liberal or radical media. I have spent much of my life listening to "conservative" talk radio. And I now realize and accept the fact that my pride in America and belief in freedom was largely based on what I had been told, and not my own personal convictions.

When exiting the building from which the Constitution was drafted, a woman approached Benjamin Franklin and asked the question "What do we have?" Franklin responded by saying, "A republic, if you can keep it."

What did he mean by the phrase "if you can keep it"?

Simply this, our nation was based on the principal that each individual would hold their own morals and convictions in check. As has been said so many times you cannot legislate morality, so true, but we must also realize that a republic cannot exist in an immoral society, the two simply do not mix. It is not enough to say we are against something, we must live as if we are against what we oppose, and most importantly, our lives and our actions must be proof of what we believe. If we as a people believe in Liberty, then we must live in it, regardless of what any so called authority has to say about it. A free people must seize their own freedom, and cling to it with the very breathe in their bodies.

Over the next several days we will be doing everything possible to help educate on how to live free, at this moment the most important thing you can do to ensure your freedom is to prepare for your substance and defense in the wake of the inability to purchase supplies. (More on this later)

I have already asked you if you have decided to live free, so now I ask you to take a few minutes and ponder this. What has my thoughts and my actions done to ensure my own personal freedom and the freedom of those I have been entrusted to care for? Am I living free, or simply hoping that someone will be elected or appointed to ensure my freedom?
