As summer temperatures soar in the Sunshine State, so too does the risk of mosquito-borne illness. Fla health officials recently confirmed a locally-acquired case of dengue fever in Hillsborough County, serving as a stark reminder that this tropical disease is no longer confined to distant shores.

CEDARCIDE. ORDER DIRECT FROM cedarcide.com or Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Only Natural Pet, or Lowe's. This stuff is amazing except on ticks or mites because they are NOT insects but members of the arachnid (spider) family (unaffected by Cedarcide so it won't kill spiders). Supposedly Cedarcide REPELS ticks. I can't say for sure although I've used it for decades now against everything else. I accidentally got the Cedarcide spray bottle mixed up with my African gray's water spray bottle & saturated my African gray with Cedarcide & the only thing I noticed is my African gray didn't seem to be enjoying his "shower bath" as usual. Then I noticed the cedar fragrance & realized my error. I was horrified because, anyone with any kind of knowledge about birds is that they are hypersensitive to chemicals. A scented burning candle in the same room with your bird will KILL it! Remember why miners take a bird in the tunnel with them to alert the miners of dangerous carbon monoxide gas. Undectable to the miners but if the bird exhibits signs of illness or death, the miners know they need to leave the mine immediately!
Yes, Deet may be effective but does NOT come without unhealthy adverse effects. heck out the experts at Dr. Weston A, Price or Environmental Working Group (EWG.org).
So you KNOW this is safe for your pet. Spry your dog or kitty & watch the fleas FALL onto the concrete around their feet if they're infested otherwise it will kill what's hitching a ride on your pet & repel any would be pests.
The pleasant cedar fragrance alone is toxic to insects so give a squirt in the corners of your cabinets will not only kill the bugs & hatching eggs but repel any prospective inhabitants in your closets or cabinets. I spray my screens to deter those tiny gnats from coming in through the screens.
Cedarcide has products for your yard or garden also & even termites & wood preservative. Check their web site for details see: Cedarcide.com No, I'm not an affiliate. I couldn't anything would get rid of Florida mosquitos, fleas & roaches this easily. I've used all their products for several decades now & purchase it by the gallon. I haven't had much success with their cedar chips for the garden, though.
